Understand the sequence
Review how the parts will be positioned, joined, accessed and inspected using methods appropriate to the design. Invite relevant specialists to identify where a sequence may be awkward or unclear. Keep these questions visible while changes are still possible. A collection of individually plausible components does not by itself prove that the assembly process is practical.
Make the handoff complete
Include the required assembly information and controlled component identities in the release package. Record any trial observations and changes through the agreed revision process. Avoid relying on a single experienced person’s memory to explain every step. Clear assembly documentation helps the next team understand the design and gives a reviewer a basis for investigating a mismatch.
A practical review checklist
- Review the intended sequence.
- Identify access constraints.
- Control component and assembly revisions.
